James settled first in Framingham with his father. In 1735 he bought the Mayo farm in Oxford. He married Elizabeth and then Hannah Twitchell on December 22, 1746. He died in 1749 and his will was proved May 29, 1749.
Many of the descendants of James Coller were taken from "Genealogical and Personal Memoirs of Worcester County, Massachusetts" published by Ellery Bicknell Crane in 1907.
