Shirley Elaine Makima

Shirley Elaine Makima was born in Highland Park Hospital, Highland Park, Michigan.

From Highland Park the family moved to Detroit. The family moved to Cincinatti, Ohio, then to Cleveleand, Ohio and back to Detroit. Shirley Makima was a senior in High School when they moved to Detroit where she spent her last semester attending Lincoln High School graduating in 1942. When Shirley was attending the University of Michigan, her parents moved to Flint, Michigan where he father, Enoch, owned a car dealership. She graduated from the University of Michigan in 1946 with a BD in Design.

Shirley married Eldon Hayes Coller, son of William McKinley Coller and Ethel May Miller, on 9 Oct 1948 in Detroit, Michigan. (Eldon Hayes Coller was born on 20 Sep 1919 in Sanilac County, Michigan.)
