From poor handwriting and studying Michigan Marriages, 1868-1925, my best guess is that Margaret's maiden name was Prouse.
A 1915 map of Sciota Township shows Margaret Nixon owning 94 acres directly southeast of the intersection of W. Bennington Road and Leland Road. This is the land that John Nixon owned in another map dated 1895.
Margaret married John Nixon, son of Thomas Nixon and Unknown, on 1 May 1900 in Shiawassee County, Michigan. (John Nixon was born in Sep 1832 in England 316.)
