Jason was a farmer in Oxford. He was a soldier in the revolution in Captain William Campbell's company, Colonel Ebenezer Learned's regiment in 1775. This was an Oxford company.
On November 30, 1832 Jason made the following pension declaration: I Jason Coller of Oxford in the County of Worcester in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts being eighty-eight years of age . . . do further testify . . . that my service in the war of the Revolution when [?] stationed at Roxbury was eight months . . . My second term of service was at York . . . [under] Lieut. Thomas (?) Humphrey . . . my service at the taking of Burgoyne was three months twenty-four days. . . . My whole service in the war of the Revolution . . . [was] fifteen months twenty-four days.
On June 8, 1853, Hannah Coller, widow of Jason Coller, appeared in court. Said she married Jason Coller on January 23, 1814 and that Jason Coller died of old age on October 14, 1840. Hannah Coller, widow of Jason Coller, who served as private in the Mass. Line, given pension of $52.67 per annum to commence on February 3, 1853; certificate of pension issued September 30, 1853.
Jason married Sarah Bogle, daughter of John Bogle and Unknown, on 24 Nov 1768. (Sarah Bogle died on 23 Jan 1814.)
Jason next married Hannah Farrington. (Hannah Farrington was born on 6 Dec 1765 and died on 15 Jan 1859.)
