Richard Cheadle and Sarah McKee Richmond moved to Roxbury, Ohio in 1800.

Richard Cheadle was the first city commissioner in Morgan City, Ohio. The first store in Windsor Township was kept by him in Big Bottom. He was also ruling elder for many years at the Presbyterian Congregation of Windsor.

Richard married Sarah McKee Richmond, daughter of Josiah Richmond and Elizabeth (Betsey) Hathaway, on 16 Sep 1799 in Bernard, Windsor County, Vermont. (Sarah McKee Richmond was born on 24 Aug 1781 in Taunton, Bristol County, Massachusetts, died on 27 Oct 1846 in Marion, Linn County, Iowa ²⁹¹ and was buried in Oak Shade Cemetery.)
