Richard Ellsworth Coller divorced Genevieve Lyszczak and left his family when their children were young. He did not see the children again for 30 years. Genevieve Lyszczak married Thomas Schlaud on July 23, 1960 and he adopted the children in 1964. Richard had been going to jail for not paying child support and the adoption kept this from happening again.
Richard then married Ethelyn L. Dykwel and they had one son, Scott Coller. They divorced the year after Scott was born and Richard left the area leaving no way to contact him.
A year before his death, Richard was in a fire at the Flint Nursing Home when a boiler exploded. Though he was not hurt, he was shaken.
He also resided in a Clio nursing home.
Richard married Genevieve Lyszczak.
Richard next married Ethelyn L. Dykwel 1960 or 1961.
